{"id":213,"date":"2014-08-28T09:56:29","date_gmt":"2014-08-28T09:56:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zoldenergiablog.hu\/en\/?page_id=213"},"modified":"2014-08-28T09:56:29","modified_gmt":"2014-08-28T09:56:29","slug":"green-policy-an-example","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/zoldenergiablog.hu\/en\/archive\/green-policy-an-example\/","title":{"rendered":"Green policy \u2013 an example"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The mission of GIMA Szolnok Industrial Park Ltd is to create an advanced company environment. <strong><strong>The quality and the awareness of environment are both determining values in the policy of our company<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As a company committed to the sustainability and equal chances, we have the objective to use green solutions, which have less impact on the environment, which <\/strong>greatly reduce the energy need of the production, commerce, research and development, innovation and logistics taking place in the Industrial Park, and increase their energy efficiency<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>The sustainable development is the basis for our business policy accomplished by fully complying with environmental directives<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>responsibility undertaken for social affairs<\/strong> is a determining factor of our company policy, together with introduction of green and renewable energy generation and storing technologies, and facilitating the efficient and low CO2 emission technologies.\u00a0 <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We set out the goal of establishing and application of reasonable strategy, in which the principles of sustainability and equal chances could be ensured together with the practical implementation, and by which we can contribute to create a more sustainable and convenient environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>Various guidelines are described in the summary below, which we intend to implements according to the principles of environment friendliness and sustainability.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ENERGY SAVING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a company committed to the environmental sustainability and undertaking social responsibility, we make effort to use the least possible energy during our activities.<\/p>\n<p>We strive to be compliant with the following principles in relation to saving energy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong><strong>Energy and engineering rationization of buildings within the industrial Park<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/em> It is our plan to use engineering and energetic options that ensure optimum energy usage (lighting, heating and cooling) when designing and constructing the buildings.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong><strong>Solidifying energy saving practices among the partners and companies within the Industrial Park by providing them appropriate information<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong><strong>Using office electronic equipment<\/strong><\/strong><\/em> in an energy saving manner.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Using environment friendly IT systems.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RENEWABLE POWER GENERATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is outstandingly important to use renewable sources for generating the energy we use. The energy dependence of Hungary on foreign supply is reduced through the implementation and operating the development projects, and at the same time, the ability to increase the number of job is improved, and the emission of CO2 is reduced.<\/p>\n<p>Among the available renewable technologies we prefer the versions that optimally suits the local conditions and the eventual market conditions. Besides the generation of power, the purposes of the investment projects include educational and research\/development purposes too.<\/p>\n<p>Planned developments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong><strong>Building small solar power plants continuously according to the actual demands.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Developing the green energy management system.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Creating an exemplary project about green energy storing.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Creating an exemplary project about hydrogen production.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Utilizing geothermic heat.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Using heat pumps.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GREEN OFFICE \u2013 ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY WORKPLACE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The awareness of the environment is becoming more and more determining factor in the corporate and individual levels alike, and most of the employees desire to work in a people friendly working space. In order to accomplish this, we strive to make the working spaces of the buildings within the Industrial park &#8220;<strong><strong>green&#8221;<\/strong><\/strong>, as well as environmental friendly and people friendly.<\/p>\n<p>The following measures will be taken for this purpose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Using of paper<\/strong> <\/em>\u2013 In order to reduce paper consumption we make efforts to distribute information in electronic way, to prefer this kind of transmission, to introduce printing of both sides of the sheets, to use recycled paper, to digitize documents centrally, using electronic fax instead of traditional fax, and to selectively collect paper waste. As a supplement to electronic signing we propagate the following message in e-mail correspondence: <strong>Please consider the environment \u2013 do you really need to print this e-mail?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Stationeries <\/strong><\/em>\u2013 We make efforts to procure and use environmental friendly goods that conform to our expectations regarding quality and sustainability\n<ul>\n<li>Purchasing energy saving office appliances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordering from local suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Preferring large units when making the packaging.<\/li>\n<li>Using recyclable or recycled materials.<\/li>\n<li>Recycling toner cassettes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><em><strong>Office appliances<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 When selecting the office equipment we place a great emphasis on creating user friendly working conditions, and that they are made from environment friendly materials and with environmentally friendly manufacturing method. Our aim to establish working conditions, that support <strong><strong>e-negotiation solutions<\/strong><\/strong> (online team work, solutions for video conferences),\u00a0 so that the number of travels and emission of harmful substances, and the proportions of fuel costs are reduced.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Performing cleaning and maintenance in an environment friendly and people friendly manner<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 In order to reduce harmful effect to the environment we definitely use environment friendly materials for cleaning and maintenance purposes, and we try to use solutions without chemicals. In line with our sustainability policy we place great emphasis on the maintenance work in the environments, including the collection of abandoned garbage, caring for the public areas, maintaining road in an environmentally conscious manner, gathering of waste, cutting of ragweed, and to develop green surfaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WASTE MANAGEMENT IN AN ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY MANNER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We keep on making efforts to make a selective collection of waste, because proper recycling of waste is possible only if the waste is collected in a selective manner. This is valid also for the selective collection of industrial waste, as well as for the separate collection of hazardous waste.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our strategy about waste handling includes the primarily objectives of minimizing waste generation, using the waste again or recycling the waste. In order to accomplish these goals we plan to cooperated with partners that think green, and to prefer procurements that are considered green.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESTABLISHING A GREEN INDUSTRIAL\u00a0 ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In our developing efforts we strive to implement development that blend into the landscape, and to maintain 40 % of the areas green and with trees. One of our outstanding goal is to create a lake having surface areas of 2 ha by utilizing the recultivated area next to the Industrial Park at a former landfill site for the benefit of tourism, green cultivation for the purposes of water management and recreational objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION OF GREEN AND BLUE TECHNOLOGIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The reduction of emission, as well as the objectives of energy efficiency are thought to be of outstanding importance similarly to the building energy systems in case of deployed technologies.
