Giving you the power to do green!<\/em><\/p>\n

The GreenAdvisor\u2019s Kickstarter campaign will start on 13 July 2015. This round of crowdfunding will provide the seed funding to start development and allow for preliminary betatesting.<\/p>\n

\"\"GreenAdvisor will empower consumers to rate any business based on how green it is directly from their smartphone<\/strong>. Now, people everywhere, will have the power to help change corporate attitudes and practices for a cleaner planet. And companies will have to answer for their policies directly to the customer.<\/p>\n

The service will be free<\/strong>, the results immediate<\/strong>. This will be a socially driven mobile and web-based app. Users will be able to broadcast their ratings across social media platforms as desired.<\/p>\n

GreenAdvisor is being built by GREENWILL \u2014 a non-profit, environmental initiative with presence in more than 100 countries.<\/strong> By adopting the GREENWILL pledge, any business, organization (formal or informal) or individual is provided with a clear, simple and completely voluntary path to becoming more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n

Often these small steps will also help bring down costs<\/strong>, maximize output<\/strong>, and spur innovation<\/strong>. GREENWILL provides the Guidelines, users choose which to adopt.<\/p>\n

GREENWILL is useful for businesses\/organizations<\/strong> (offering them voluntary, customizable and simple ways to be greener, reduce waste, save energy and increase profits<\/em>), for consumers<\/strong> (by conferring them critical information that allows them to be greener themselves and to patronize companies that have adopted GREENWILL<\/em>), and for the Planet<\/strong> (collectively, each participating business, organization and consumer will contribute to making an enormous difference for the environment<\/em>).<\/p>\n

There are four easy steps to follow to take towards environmental sustainability:<\/p>\n

1) Sign your Green Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n

2) Assign an in-house “Green Officer”<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) Make the Green Policy public<\/strong><\/p>\n

4) Spread the word<\/strong><\/p>\n

The GREENWILL initiative will operate\u00a0glocally<\/strong>. <\/em>It has an international hub to drive the global campaign and serve as a center of expertise. It will simultaneously work to inspire and foster local GREENWILL chapters in countries around the world that will adapt the Guidelines to local standards; translate them into local language(s); manage country-based outreach impact and monitoring; formulate a local board of advisors and staff, and raise funding locally for these efforts.<\/p>\n
